Dark Omen is fan is a game development and publishing firm located in Switzerland & Germany, created by first time game publishers Lukas Huettner and Errol Stryker.

At Dark Omen, we bring together our background of graphic design, love of table top gaming, and a light hearted sense of humor into our core fundamentals:

Replayable
We all love to approach game challenges in new ways. Our games focus on the right mix of luck, strategic decisions, and innovated mechanics. We know that if you buy a game, you want to be able to play it for long time.

Fun
At each step in our design process as ask ourselves (and our playtesters) was it fun? At the end of the day a game can be super complex, or a mechanic simple, but we make sure that no matter what, our games are a fun experience.

Thematic
With so many options and ideas we, as gamers and designers, have a very flexible mindset when it comes to cool game concepts. In addition to being fun, as ask ourselves: Does it fit thematically? If the answer to both is yes, then it stays in our games.

Silly Fun
Yes, we're silly and laugh at ourselves a lot. We jump into characters, act out battles, and generally take each chance to make fun of each other. We really try to invite our players to take part in the fantasy elements of our games.

Innovative
I mean who wants to play the same old game? We bring new elements to our games, be it unique mechanics, innovative puzzle and battle mechanics, or designating a player the drinks wench.

Polished and Beautiful
Lukas is professional graphics designer, Warhammer mini painter, and fantasy and history geek. Our artwork is original, stunning, and done with love. We take this same approach to playtesting, and our game development. We encourage positive and negative feedback, as it helps fuel our drive to create awesome games.
