We are the creators of the world's first hilarious and strategic Party Game; BARPIG. So what exactly is BARPIG? It's a combination of hilariously fun group challenges with take-that item cards to turn the game in your favour, along with a level system to make things competitive, a damage system to keep it vindictive, and a dice to keep things randomly fair. This year at SPIEL we'll be presenting the third and final installment in the BARPIG family of games, celebrating the Great Festival in Hall 2 stand E124! “Legend tells of an adventurous piggy, who explored the far reaches of the realm before settling down to build a tavern deep in the woods: A place where all adventuring pigs could meet kindred spirits and share tales from afar. Since then, whenever the harvest moon falls upon the equinox, everyone in the realm is invited to The Great Festival to celebrate why we explore and share what we’ve found.“ And indeed, in good old BARPIG fashion we're extending our already infamous Tavern with an entire Festival grounds - think German Beer Garden complete with long tables, lanterns, and "real" grass at SPIEL! All BARPIG games utilise an addictively fun mechanic that’s both a party game and strategic card-based RPG, taking inspiration from games such as Munchkin, Exploding Kittens, Ring of Fire and Tabletop RPGs. This mechanic goes a step further! Players are invited to be creative in their approach to gameplay and in so, creating an environment in which everyone can really excel in their speciality, while learning a little more about each other and what makes them unique. Easy to learn, pick-up and play, it's the perfect pocket-sized party game for everyone, anywhere. Oh, and there will be pigs… With the introduction of the Great Festival, BARPIG now counts 2 stand-alone / combinable base games, as well as an expansion that can be added to either or both base games. You can even deck-build and combine your own packs of BARPIG however you like! We began in 2017 with a succesful Kickstarter of our first game, BARPIG - The Adventure Party Game. 10 character cards with their unique group challenges, and 12 types of item cards to swing the game in your favour. 2019 saw the release of our second base-game that can be combined with the first, BARPIG: After hours. Here we find the nefarious evil characters of the BARPIG universe break in to the tavern to play when the good pigs are away. Featuring a stunning 11 new characters with brand new challenges, and 8 new item types along with 5 of our favourites from the previous game, it gives a darker, meaner twist on an already laugh-out-loud funny party game. And now, after our third succesful Kickstarter in 2022, we bring BARPIG: The Great Festival to the world! This time only an expansion, it still features a further 9 unique character cards with their challenges, and adds a whopping 14 new item cards to the game. Altogether, combining all three variations of BARPIG will deliver you the mother of all party games, with 30 hilarious and fun group challenges, and 35 different types of item cards with which to swing the game in your favour, and make your friends question your fielty ;-).
